Hillbrook Inn Intimate Weddings
If the word “fairytale” is part of your wedding vocabulary, then take a tour of Hillbrook Inn. This Tudor style B&B, located near Charles Town and Harpers Ferry WV, sits on 30 beautifully landscaped acres. And how magical would it be to say your “I Do’s” on a picturesque bridge?
Small is Beautiful at Hillbrook Inn
Intimate destination weddings are a Hillbrook Inn specialty. The property welcomes all types of wedding couples and is LGBTQ friendly. Says Hillbrook’s Event Planner Mandy Carroll, “Whether a couple is looking for a small, intimate wedding or a lavish event for up to 75 people, we can bring your ideas to life. Couples choose Hillbrook because no detail is overlooked. We work hard to design the event around a couple’s specific desires.”
If you’re looking for something totally different in intimate nuptials, consider Hillbrook’s Morning Wedding Affair. Spend the night at the inn and host your wedding for 20 guests the next day from 11am to 2pm. Start with mimosas and then take your vows on the bridge. Or marry on the round garden terrace, by the fountain, or in front of a toasty fire at the inn. Take gorgeous outdoor wedding photos and afterwards savor lunch at the Redbook Restaurant.
Another intimate option, accommodating up to 44 guests, is Hillbrook’s Signature Wedding. Hold an outdoor ceremony, then enjoy a plated meal in the elegant dining room. Package availability varies with time of year. And for receptions of up to 75 guests, Hillbrook hosts weddings in a tent connected to the inn. “It’s our pleasure to create unique and stress-free weddings on our beautiful property all year round,” says Mandy.
Hillbrook Inn Intimate Elopements
Would you rather keep your vows between just you and your sweetie? Hillbrook Inn offers an elopement package for two. It includes your ceremony on the bridge, a bouquet and boutonniere, hors d’oeuvres and champagne toast, dinner, and cake. Hillbrook even provides the officiant!
Want to invite a few close friends or family to your elopement? You can add up to eight guests to the elopement package for either hors d’oeuvres and champagne or dinner. Other services like decor, ceremony music, hair & makeup, and photography can also be contracted through the inn.
“Not only is our property truly breathtaking, but it also showcases real charm and elegance,” says Mandy. “Hillbrook Inn sets itself apart from other properties as a full-service venue, handling every detail of an event. From planning and coordination to food, music, photography, flowers, overnight accommodations and more. We’ve built relationships with wonderful local vendors who know the property well and work together to execute a flawless event.”
Hillbrook Inn Honeymoons
Hillbrook Inn is also a wonderful option for a close by honeymoon. In addition to the beautiful scenery and fine dining, you can take advantage of the inn’s spa services. Think couples massage! Ask about the inn’s special winery tours or have the concierge book a round of golf. There’s also nearby historical attractions, hiking and biking, motor sports, horse racing and gambling, horseback riding, and water activities.
Meet Your Wedding Specialist, Mandy Carroll
As a recent bride, Mandy Carroll knows the intricate details of wedding planning. “Although I’d worked many special events at the inn, getting married opened my eyes as to how much coordination is needed to pull off a truly unforgettable event.”
“Hillbrook coordinates all of the details, leaving couples and guests to have time to focus on enjoying the special moments. I discovered this coordination is priceless – and hard to come by in our area. Hillbrook manages every detail of the event. The only thing our couples need to worry about is what to wear!”
Mandy began working at Hillbrook in 2015 and was recently promoted to Event Planner. “I never pictured myself working at a B&B, but I quickly realized how much I enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the art of hospitality,” says this Charles Town, WV native. “I’ve graciously been given the opportunity to work with an outstanding team for the past four years who excel at executing memorable events, both large and small.”
Wedding specialists usually enjoy two things – creativity and connection. And Mandy is no exception. She loves “creating a connection with each couple and following them through the journey”.
“From the beginning when we invite them for a tour to the looks of pure happiness on their faces on the big day, we get to be a part of it all. It’s even better when we get to welcome them back to their special place for an anniversary stay.”
Wedding Words of Wisdom
Since Mandy is a wedding pro and newly married, we wanted her advice. “Some wedding wisdom that I learned firsthand is to have fun and make your wedding about you!” Says Mandy, “Celebrating the couple is what it’s all about. Too often people get wrapped up in making everyone else happy and not making the event what they truly want it to be. As one of the most important days of their entire lives, they should enjoy every second of it and leave everything else up to us!”
