With tours, tastings, farm to table cuisine, and on-site accommodations, Bluemont Vineyard offers romantic adventure. Take a look at what you can do at this mountaiside vineyard near the Blue Ridge.
Bluemont Vineyard Romantic Adventure
Bluemont Vineyard offers what they call “elevated experiences” (a nice play on their mountain location). Start with a tour of this family-owned vineyard and wine making facility then enjoy a private tasting and farm to table culinary experience.
Winemaking: This 2.5 hour experience starts in the vineyard where you’ll learn the history of Bluemont and Great Country Farms. You’ll tour the vines and production facility and learn all about wine making. After the group tour, enjoy a tasting of six seasonally rotating wines. $30 per person.
Seated Tasting: If you prefer to have a more intimate experience, then try a seated tasting. Choose either a self-guided wine flight or pored tasting with one of Bluemont’s knowledgeable hosts. Keep a glass as a souvenir. $22 per person.
Bluemont Vineyards and Great Country Farms
Farm to Table Culinary Experience: The stars of this four-course meal are bountiful produce from Great Country Farms and paired Bluemont wines. The menu rotates to ensure the freshest of the season. $65 per person. And afterward, retire to an Airbnb cottage on the 400-acre farm.
More Elevated Experiences at Bluemont: Enjoy yoga? Then breathe in and breathe out at Vinyasa with a View. Enjoy a 60 minute class in the Tasting Room taught by a local instructor followed by a glass of wine with your fellow yogis. $20. Or get out for Fuzzfestival August 3, 4, 10 and 11 for all things peach. And wrap up the summer with 80’s tribute band The Reflex August 24.
