Plan a Bryce Resort wedding weekend in the beautiful Blue Ridge. Take your vows on the mountaintop or at the lake and celebrate during any season.
Bryce Resort Wedding Weekend
Located off I-81 in Basye, VA near the town of Mt. Jackson, Bryce Resort is a hidden jewel for a wedding weekend. Since the resort is open year round, you can celebrate your special day during your favorite season.
Bryce Wedding Ceremonies
If you’re looking for an outdoor ceremony site, Bryce offers two beautiful choices. The mountaintop provides expansive views of the Shenandoah Valley. You and your guests will get to the top by chair lift, so take a moment and enjoy the view. Another lovely location is Lake Laura. Say your “I Do’s” on the dam overlooking this peaceful lake.
After the ceremony, return to the resort and a choice of reception locations at the base of the mountain overlooking the ski slopes.
Receptions at Bryce Resort
Couples with a guest list of up to 100 will find intimate charm at the Copper Kettle Restaurant. The room also makes a great “Plan B” ceremony space where you can get married in front of the rustic stone fireplace. And if you’re looking for something a little larger and more modern, then take the party over to the Copper Kettle Lounge. It holds up to 125 guests and has a terrific circular bar.
The newest addition to the resort’s reception options is the Conference Center. Here you can host up to 250 guests. The center offers an expansive patio for cocktail time and a spacious room with high ceilings and large stone fireplace.
Room rental prices start at $1950. Onsite catering is available and prices fall within the $51-$75 range. Menus include hors d’oeuvres and a buffet with two meat choices. Typical booking time is six to 12 months out from the wedding date.
Bryce Resort Wedding Weekend Activities
The four seasons offer a wealth of wedding weekend activities at Bryce Resort. Ask Event Sales & Coordinator Jackie Moe about a bridal party tea or rehearsal dinner on the mountaintop. Enjoy a round of golf, first-class mountain biking, water activities at Lake Laura and, of course, skiing in the winter.
Although there are no on-site hotel accommodations, Bryce has partnered with nearby Shrine Mont Conference & Retreat Center in nearby Orkney Springs. Shrine Mont also provides shuttle service for you and your guests to and from Bryce.
Bryce Resort welcomes LGBTQ couples and four-legged “guests” can attend the ceremony. And since the resort is family oriented, kids will have a fun and safe time.
